Mechanism of Viscosity Effect on Magnetic Island Rotation

Abstract:

It is shown that plasma viscosity does not influence the magnetic island rotation directly. Nevertheless, it leads to nonstationarity of the plasma velocity. This nonstationarity is the reason of the viscosity effect on island rotation.
