Abstract:

Multihelicity effects on low collisionality (~1/nu ) regime of neoclassical transport has been analyzed for full range of magnetic field configurations of CHS Heliotron/Torsatron. Transport coefficients for this regime has been calculated according to an approach developed in [5]. It was shown that the drift-orbit-optimized configuration of CHS device [6] has the best confinement properties for low collision plasma confinement.
