Abstract:
Compared with the interest in the magneto-resistance effect in solid conductors, the effect in a gas plasma has hardly been addressed. In this work, a theoretical result that a magneto-resistance in an infinite plasma decreases is examined experimentally in an actual discharge plasma. Furthermore, a modified expression for the ambipolar diffusion coefficient in the case where electrons are scattered by heavy neutral atoms is presented.
