A Novel H-Mode on STOR-M Tokamak

A novel feature of the H-mode induced by compact torus injection on the STOR-M tokamak is explored. Contrary to the usual hypothesis the radial electric field is not changed during and after the transition. A novel method is proposed which can equally trigger the L to H transition. This novel theoretical model and the consequent atomic and molecular data from the experiments on STOR-M supporting the theory will be reported in this paper.
