Information on ITC-9

Registration

The registration desk will be open at the 1st floor of the Oustat International Hotel from 16:00 to 19:00 on December 7. At the Ceratopia Toki Conference Hall the registration will start at 8:00 on the 3rd floor on December 8. Only Japanese yen will be accepted ( see below Cashing and Foreign Exchange ).

Instructions for Poster Presentation

We will have available a poster board ( 1800W~1200H ) and pushpins for each poster presentation. The contributors are requested to prepare poster sheets with large enough characters and/or figures in order to be comfortably seen by the participants. Please note that the contributors of poster presentations are not supplied with any audiovisual equipment.

Get Together Party

On December 7 the Get Together Party will be held on the 1st floor of the Oustat International Hotel from 17:00 to 19:00 during the registration. A light meal with non-alcoholic drinks will be offered free.

Photo

We will take photo together with all of participants at the entrance next to the restaurant HANAIKKI at the lunch break on December 8. Please get together there at the end of the morning session on December 8. In case of the unseasonable weather this will be postponed to the next day.

Reception for Foreign Participants Sponsored by Toki City

On December 8 the Reception for Foreign Participants sponsored by Toki City will be held at the Ceratopia Toki Conference Hall from 18:00. The participants from foreign countries will be invited to this reception.

Banquet

A banquet is included in the registration fee. Please enjoy yourself at the banquet with all the participants on the 1st floor of the Ceratopia Toki Conference Hall from 18:00 on December 9.

Technical Tour to NIFS: LHD & CompleXcope

We are pleased to invite you to a technical tour to National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) which will be planned in the afternoon on December 10. A shuttle bus service is available from the Ceratopia Toki Conference Hall. Planned tour course is:
  1. LHD (Large Helical Devise); the world's largest stellarator.
  2. CompleXcope; A virtual reality system for 3D data visualization.
  3. Some other facilities in NIFS.
If you wish to participate in the tour, please sign up on the application sheet at the registration desk. Please note that due to the limited space and time we can accept only the 100 participants on a first-come-first-served basis.

Climate

The highest, average and lowest temperatures during the period of the Conference in Toki are approximately 9 oC, 4oC, and 0oC, respectively. The a verage relative humidity is approximately 70%. There is a fair possibility of rain turning into snow.

Cashing and Foreign Exchange

Banking services ( Cashing: VISA, AMEX, etc., Foreign Exchange from U.S.Dollar etc. to Japanese Yen ) are available from around 11:00 to 14:30 at The Tono Shinkin Bank - Toki-Ekimae Branch (TEL:54-2101), Juroku Bank - Tajimi Branch (TEL:22-6221), The Tokai Bank - Tajimi Branch (TEL:22-3211).
