process

  1. Notify your NIFS host of your plan to stay at the Helicon Club.
  2. Make a booking here reservation form.
  3. You will receive a booking confirmation mail from the Helicon Club.

Check-in

At Visitor Center (Weekdays 8:30-17:00 (Payment by 16:30))

  • Pay the rent and get a room key. Payment both by cash and card* is acceptable.
  • If you arrive outside our working hours, you can get your room key from the gatekeeper.
    Check in on the following day.
  • Once you pay the rent, we can't give you a refund.
    In case you need a refund due to unavoidable circumstances, please contact the Visitor Center by 17:00 on the day you will leave.
  • *CARDS acceptable: VISA, Master, JCB, AMERICAN EXPRESS, Diners Club, UnionPay card, Debit card

Check-out

  • Drop the key in the key return box at the Helicon Club 1F staffroom by 10:00.
  • If you leave after more than one month's stay, a room-condition check will be done.

Others

  • Only a person involved in our research is eligible to stay.

Network

  • Free Wi-Fi is available through eduroam roaming service. If you don't have an account with eduroam, please ask for a visitor's account from your host researcher.
  • Please be sure to use anti-virus protection if you access the network.
  • Do not connect PC equipment that needs to convert wired LAN to wireless LAN.
  • You can't access the NIFS internal network.

Parking

  • Free / Space for 20 cars

Power-assisted Bicycle

  • Only Helicon Club visitors( foreign visitors) are eligible to use one.
  • Read the following documents carefully before you use a bicycle.
  • Please note the user bears all responsibilities for any damage or trouble caused by you.

*We recommend you have insurance covering bicycle accidents.

*Ask at the Visitor Center about borrowing a bike and for the following pledge paper.(You need the host's approval and signature.)
