Self-Consistent Electric Field Effect on Electron Transport of ECH Plasmas

Abstract:

An algorithm is proposed which treats the ECH generated potential in a self-consistent way, by extending the Monte-Carlo Fokker-Planck method used by Murakami [S. Murakami et al., Proc. 17th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference, Yokohama, l 998 (International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, in press), paper CN-69/TH2/l]. The additional physics is expected to influence the transport of both thermal and suprathermal electrons in a helical toroidal system.
